This is a question that I have asked myself a lot of times but always had to approximate an answer to by looking at Google maps. See the picture below, for example. Can you tell for sure whether "Kauno gatvÄ— (street), 1" is in the Naujamiestis (Vilnius New Town) municipality or the Senamiestis (Vilnius Old Town) one?

Fed up with my inability to answer this question with precision, I recently asked a question in the Foreigners in Vilnius group and lo and behold, within a few hours, a Lithuanian (I assume from the name) gentleman called Mykolas came through with a great answer.
From Mykolas' answer, I now am able to answer this question about the municipality of a place in Vilnius by following a few short steps:
- Open the Vilnius maps website municipalities page
- In the search box on the top right corner (web, not mobile web), enter the specific address whose municipality/district you want to figure out (make sure to add the building number)
- Choose the right option from the auto-complete options that will appear under the search box. A pop-up "Search result" will appear with the address and the municipality/district right after the address.

Now, I know that Kauno gatvÄ— (street) is in Vilnius old town (Senamiestis), not in Naujamiestis. Sweet!
